Questions? We’ve got answers!

If you don’t find a service you’re looking for here, drop us a line! We can put together a personalized quote. We’re also happy to just answer any questions you may have about Italian dual citizenship in general.

It sounds exactly as it is. Italian dual citizenship means being a citizen of the country you were born in and a citizen of Italy, the country your ancestry is from.

No, you don’t. If you qualify for Italian dual citizenship that means you have been an Italian citizen since birth and are just waiting to legalize a status you already held. As such, there is no language requirement whatsoever.

Absolutely not. You don’t need to be 100% Italian, 50% Italian, or even 25% Italian. You only need one qualifying Italian-born ancestor.

Officially, the Italian government has up to 24 months to process your application. However, as with all things Italy, the process varies. Depending on where your ancestors are from, where you live, where you want to apply, and numerous other factors, application times may vary. We have seen processing times as little as 2 months or as long as 24 months. Our best advice is to hand in your application, forget about it, and one day soon you will get a lovely surprise of recognition of citizenship.

Our services range from $7,999 on up, but vary according to number of generations removed from your last Italian-born ancestor, where you are applying for citizenship, and numerous other factors that make each case unique.

You may apply at your local Italian consulate, in an Italian municipality (comune) of your choice, or in court depending on the specifics of your case.

No, you do not. Italy and the United States both allow dual citizenship. Furthermore, if you qualify for Italian dual citizenship you are already Italian—you just haven’t been legally recognized as one yet.

It depends. If you don’t qualify but are the child or grandchild of a former Italian citizen, you may be eligible for fast-track naturalization after 3 years of living in Italy (as opposed to the 10 years which everyone else must wait). You may also qualify for Italian dual citizenship after marriage with an Italian citizen.

We can do as much of the work for you as legally possible. This means that if you are applying at a consulate or in Italy, we can obtain a full and complete application dossier for you to present at your venue of choice. We cannot attend your citizenship appointment on your behalf. Only the applicant can be present at his or her citizenship appointment. If you are applying in court, we can legally represent you and file the application on your behalf through use of Power of Attorney.
